Eva is a multidisciplinary artist who likes to meld together well practiced skills with some that are learnt on the go as any given project progresses. Her foremost chosen mediums are photography and tufting. Projects have included skills such as sewing, collage, book making, paper mâché, painting, beading, reconstruction or revamp of old items and prop construction.
Primarily a photographer regularly using digital, film and polaroid Eva has a keen artist eye for costume, figure and scene setting. She believes in minimal use of post-production editing to try and capture the best image possible with the elements present at the time.
Tufting is a more recent skill which Eva has been mastering over the last few years. Using wool, yarns and beading in loop and cut pile styles to produce works. Her still life wall-hangings gaining popularity for people's homes as well as portrait works for exhibition.
Eva makes or styles outfits from thrifted, recycled, reused and literal trash items. The purpose is for the viewer to witness that whilst expensive lace and couture gowns are wonderful there is beauty to be found in the rubbish bin.
